Once Again the Islands are Heating Up for AGT

$50,000 in Prize Money and Incentives Courtesy of Panasonic and Goodyear for the Ponce Grand Prix

Wilton, CT Ponce, Puerto Rico October, 15 2005 - Today The Puerto Rico Road Racing Association and The American GT Road Racing Association announced a total prize money and incentive package for the 2005 Ponce Grand Prix that totals $50,000.

“The Star of the show on and off the track is Edison Lluch”, said American GT Challenge owner Woodson Duncan. “He has worked hard to make the Ponce Grand Prix the main attraction for the Inter-Americas Challenge and what a prize package he has come up with”.

“I would like to thank the terrific people at Panasonic for helping put this event on the map. They are paying $15,000 to the winner $10,000 for second place, $5,000 for third, $3,000 for fourth and $2,000 for fifth. After that the normal AGT cash payout will begin in sixth place of $1,500, $1,000 for seventh, $500 for eighth $400 for ninth $300 for tenth $200 for eleventh and $100 there after. Plus Goodyear is making close to $10,000 in product available. If it is not now it will be the biggest motor racing event in the entire Caribbean and Central America” said Lluch.

Panasonic is working on providing live web casts or at least live timing and scoring. “We have a show lined up that includes 4 AGT cars from the Dominican Republic, 5 AGT cars from America, one from Canada and eight AGT cars from Puerto Rico. We also have Motorcycles and Touring Cars. This show will be the biggest in Puerto Rico’s Road Racing History, each and everyone of the cars can win, the competition is fierce” continued Lluch.
