Court Convened To Investigate Jorge Diaz

AGT convened a court today November 18, 2005 consisting of Robert Sharp, Tony Febles, Gene Tataryn and Woodson Duncan to investigate the incidents involving the team of Jorge Diaz JR. during and after the Ponce Grand Prix.

“Our policy is to punish deliberate rough driving on the track and we have zero tolerance for physical confrontation off the track” said series owner Woodson Duncan.

When the series was under development we included the following verbiage in our discussion documents “The series philosophy is to extend to each competitor the opportunity to create a friendly fraternity where deliberate rough driving will earn an instant black flag, disqualification, forfeiture of any earned prizes and the withdrawal of future invitations. The integrity of the series must be maintained as I believe every team has the right to know what to expect at an AGT event when they are packing their trailers and we will not be deterred from maintaining the integrity of the series Duncan continued. Therefore in light of the circumstances we have suspended the official results for Mr. Jorge Diaz Jr. finishing position until the court has investigated the issue”said Duncan.
