Stu Hayner (USA) takes top spot on the podium for Round 6 of the American GT Inter-Americas Cup Challenge, at the Ponce Grand Prix at Ponce, International Speedway Park.
Second place on the podium went to the 2005 Ponce Grand Prix Champion, Rolando Falgueras (Puerto Rico) and third went to Ramon Juan “RJ” Lopez (Dominican Republic).
Stu Hayner said “I was unsure of what to expect. I have raced in the Islands before and I realize that the competition can be tremendous, but here there were at least 10 cars (eight qualified within about a second of each other) capable of winning the race. Every position was contested for every second in each of the Sunday’s main events. The racing was fabulous, the hospitality unending, and the camaraderie very good. I’m really looking forward to the Dominican Republic. AGT I am afraid, is addictive.”
The seventh and final round of the American GT Inter-Americas Cup Challenge is schedules for December 2, 3 and 4 at Las Americas Race Track, Santo Domingo Dominican Republic
