Introduction
The American Road Racing Association (AGTRRA) Regulations are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of road racing Events. An AGTRRA sanctioned Event is a competitive sports event, which is intended to be conducted and officiated in accordance with the 2007 sprint rules. The abbreviated rules are posted to give competitors the opportunity to decide if our series makes sense for them.
It is ultimately the obligation of each participant to ensure that their conduct and equipment comply with all applicable AGTRRA regulations.
No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of, or compliance with these rules. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of automobile racing and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators, or others.
Car Eligibility
All Purpose built, tube frame chassis, V-8 & V-6, push rod, carbureted engine, composite bodied, replicas of series produced American touring or grand touring cars conforming to 2003 SCCA GT-1, 2003 Grand Am GTS or 2003 Trans -Am specifications and meeting the AGTRRA adjusted weight minimums and wing heights will be allowed to compete. Cars from other similar series will be considered. GT-1 cars must present their log book showing technical and safety conformance or annual tech inspection sticker. The following tables assume V-8s. Any Car meeting SCCA GT-1 rules as they apply to a 274 ci V6 will be permitted to race. All American GT rules will be continually monitored to promote parity. All cars will compete in one class AGT.
Driver Eligibility
Drivers who are not on probation from any sanctioning body, possessing a current competition license from: SCCA, (National or Pro) Grand Am or FIA, are eligible to compete. Other competition licenses will be considered.

All cars must
have a maximum of fifty percent (50%) of the total car weight, without driver on the rear wheels. A 0.50% tolerance will be allowed for extra fuel on the car. All weights are as it finished the race.

Minimum Ground Clearance
The minimum ground clearance is 2″ when measured, ready to race without the driver or fuel.
Rear Wing or Spoiler
Only one of the two following options may be used.
• A single-element rear wing with a maximum 0.750 inch wicker and 12 inch x 12 inch maximum endplates. Endplates must be at least 2 inches from the body and the wing mounts must be at least 12 inches in from each end. Complete wing must not be higher than 1″ above the car’s roof, and not extend rearward farther than 1″ beyond the rear bumper. The max chord length is 11 inches
• A flat blade-type rear spoiler, 6 inches high by 65 inches wide.
Rear bumper / tail light under tray area
The rear of the car (Taillight panel and Bumper) may be vented a maximum of 300 square inches and covered by maximum 0.500 inch mesh screen. Cars must have at least two red brake and taillights with a minimum of one working at all times.
Electronics
All engines will be limited to a maximum of 8200RPMS at all times. It is the team responsibility to coordinate with the officials to check that the RPM limiter is working and limiting at it proper range. A 1% tolerance will be allowed do to calibration and accuracy.
Traction Control
No type of traction control units will be allowed. If at any point during the race weekend a team is found with any type of traction control device or and electronic device that cannot be define for any particular usage, the team will be automatically disqualify, issue severe penalties and the car could be seized by AGT until the penalties are paid.
Tires
Only Good Year tires may be used at any time during an AGT event:
If by any reason a competitor tire size is not available from Good Year, with a written statement from Good Year, that particular team may use the Good Year approved Dunlop tire. The tire size must be in that statement and it could not be larger in size than the Good Year it is substituting.
All cars must start the first race of the weekend with the tires they qualify on.
• Unless the qualifying is done on rain tires; in which case the teams could start with slicks if they wish to do so and vice versa.
• During the warm up tires others than the marked ones could be used.
• Once the qualifying starts six (6) and only six 6 tires total will be mark for use during that particular race weekend.
• Tires marked for previous events must be remark if they are going to be used during another event. And could not be counted as extra tires.
• Out of the six (6) tires marked, only four (4) could be used for qualifying.
• If a teams is involved in a mishap and one (1) or two (2) tires gets damaged, with the consent of an official, they can install any or both of their other two (2) mark tires.
• If a team is involved in a mishap and more than two (2) tires get damaged, with the consent of an official, they can install both their other two (2) mark tires. The car will be park in his hot pits, during the pace laps, and after the green flag drops, his crew can change the other tire/tires and he could rejoin the race.
• The Good Year representative at the track and the officials will have the final word on what represents a damaged tire.
• If a team wants to change any of the tires mark for qualifying, is their and only their responsibility to inform the officials and get the corresponding approval.
• Any tire or tires could be changed on hot pits at any time after the start of the race while the race is in green flag.
Signage, Competitor and Sponsor Advertising
• AGTRRA and/or its contracted series organizers will specify class and series/contingency sponsor decal identification in standard locations on each car for each AGT class.
• AGTRRA may approve or disapprove the content, placement and size of any advertising, decal, signage or sponsorship identification for any reason.
Race Formats
• Multiple Heat formats Length may vary minimum of two 25 minute heats plus qualifying and practice
• Single Heat format will be timed events of fifty minutes.
• A typical race weekend will consist of at a minimum two thirty minute practices, one fifteen minutes qualifying, and two thirty-minute feature or a fifty minutes feature, when schedule permits.
Championship Points:
AGTRRA will award driver points in each class for qualifying and by finishing position as follows. Each Driver That:
• Qualifies for a race will receive 2 points
• Qualifies for consecutive races will receive one additional point per race until he qualifies for four consecutive races and there after will receive 2 additional points per consecutive race they qualify for
• Starts a race and finishes ahead of other competitors will receive 1 point for each competitor he finishes ahead of
Multiple Heat Formats:
• Each Heat will be treated as a separate race for Qualifying and Starting. No additional points for consecutive races will be awarded for starting both heats of a multiple heat event.
• Qualifying points will be awarded for both heat races. The second heat will be started as the first heat is finished and the field may be inverted.
Manufacturers Championship:
Each Marque, Ford, GM, and Chrysler will be awarded one point for a win and one point for a pole. The Marque with the highest number of points at the end of the season will be declared the Manufacturers Champion.
