04/19/2007 - AGT Teams Get Ready to Head for Canada

(April 19, 2007) AGT members are getting ready for the Victoria Day Speedfest at Mosport International Raceway in Ontario Canada. Not only are they preparing their cars and equipment they are also preparing the paperwork to cross the Canadian border. “All the teams crossing the border must get the ‘Canada Customs Bond’ from the website or contact AGT, so we can send them a copy. They must have the bond for easier crossing of the border” explained Tony Febles. AGT will be the feature event of this Speedfest to be celebrated on May 19-20. Mosport will have a “Test day” on Friday May 18, for those teams who wish to practice and setup. The “Test Entry Forms” are already in the AGT website for easy downloading. Officials are expecting a great competitive grid of AGT cars which will make a very exciting race weekend. To download the bond, go to http://americangt.com/schedule/ and click “Canada Customs Bond” under Mosport Event. For more information visit www.americangt.com

04/12/2007 - The Glen Confirmed For AGTRRA Round 3

(April 12, 2007) Watkins Glen International was confirmed today as Round 3 of the AGTRRA Inter-Americas Cup Challenge for 2007. AGTRRA will be part of the Watkins Glen Historic Races Weekend with HSR on June 15-17, 2007. This will be a very exciting weekend, since the race is dedicated to the Trans Ams of the 80’s and 90’s. “We expect some of the HSR teams to joint our races and vice versa, since the AGT rules are based partly in TA.” Tony Febles informed. The AGT races will be on the long track using the famous boot section of the track, which will make this event a very challenging one for all the teams and drivers. 04/08/2007 - New Entry Options for AGTRRA Races

(April 9, 2007) As part of the changes in the new management of AGTRRA, there will be new options for entries starting with the Mosport Victoria Day Race. “The idea is to give more options to all those grassroots GT1 teams out there in order to allow them battle it out with the AGT teams” said Tony Febles COO of AGTRRA. “With the new options for AGTRRA races, teams interested in doing just the regional races instead of the whole championship could become members for a single event.” Febles added. Now teams could register for championship points and prize money, for prize money without points or for bragging right only.
This is some of the feedback AGT is getting from the grassroots team. “We want to make sure that they (the GT1 teams) understand that we are listening to them and paying attention.” Febles commented. AGTRRA will also offer a discount for entries and memberships paid two weeks in advance of the events, to help keep the cost down and speed the process of registration and tech at the track, allowing for more track time. For more information and specific entry options go to http://americangt.com/competitors/ and click 2007 Membership Application or go to http://americangt.com/schedule/ and click Entry Form
