05/30/2007 - Nashville Under the Lights Confirmed for July 6-7

(May 31, 2007) - American GT Road Racing Association (AGTRRA) has confirmed Round Four of the Inter-Americas Cup Challenge for Nashville on Friday and Saturday July 6th and 7th to be held on the Nashville Superspeedway 1.8-mile road course situated in the infield of the speedway. The event called “Nashville Under the Lights” and will be a first in many ways for AGTRRA, as it will be the first time that AGTRRA will be visiting Nashville and it will be the first ever night race for AGTRRA racing under the lights at the Nashville Superspeedway. On a weekend of “first”, another will be that AGTRRA will be sharing the weekend event with another V-8 driven series, the American V-8 Supercar Series - in separate races and classes.

“We at AGTRRA are very excited about this event. It will be a nice change to have an event at night using the famous Nashville Superspeedway lights with these roaring, ground pounding cars.” Commented Tony Febles COO of AGTRRA.
“There has being a great response from the AGTRRA series teams as we expect the return of a few teams that have not run with us lately like Terry Giles and the Powerhouse Racing Team out of Florida running their #85 Corvette Z06, as well as a few GT-1 teams have indicated that they are looking forward to joining in and competing in this event” added Febles. So strap yourself in and get ready to run under the lights in Lebanon, Tennessee for “Nashville Under the Lights” where USERA and American V-8 Supercar Series will be battling it out for the checkered flag in an exciting race weekend.

Prior to the “Nashville Under the Lights” race Round Three of the AGTRRA International series will be held in Watkins Glen on June 15-17 in conjunction with HSR. For More info go to: www.AmericanGT.com
