Puerto Rico Gets Ready to Invade Canada
(May 9, 2007) Puerto Rico gets ready to conquer Canada during the Victoria Day Speedfest at Mosport during the May 19-20 weekend. One team from Puerto Rico set their sights to invade Canada and beat the Canadian on their own turf in Bowmanville. Lajas Racing sent the famous Don Q Rum trailer with both the Coors Light and the Don Q Corvettes race ready to the track. “We are going to try something different this year” said Edison Lluch Sr, 2005 and 2006 AGT Inter-Americas Champion, “We (Edison Jr and Sr) are going to switch cars, Jr is going to drive the #1 Coors Light and I get the #72 Don Q car.” Sr added.

On the other hand, Charlie Webster in the CJ Webster Corvette and Tor Krueger in the Pepsi Monte Carlo -both from Canada- are waiting anxiously for Team Puerto Rico, to show them how it is done in Canada. When we asked Lluch Sr about the Canadian factor, he replied “Charlie is always fast and as uncle Yuyo says home advantage is always an advantage. He (Charlie) has a few tricks off his sleeve, last year he made cold, so he could have a bigger advantage, the snow, the hail and the sleet which (needles to say) we never get in PR. However the young engineer from Lajas managed.” Lluch Sr, added referring to his second place finish for the weekend behind Joey Scarallo and in front of Jack Bush who came in third.
