05/19/2007 - Lluch Jr Gets the Pole Position and Brakes the AGT Track Record

Bowmanville, Canada (May 19, 2007) – Edison Lluch Jr got the pole position and broke the AGT track record in the Coors Light #1 Corvette with a 1:19:326 at almost 180Kph for the Victoria’s Day Speedfest in Mosport International Raceway. “I am very excited about having the pole, this is a very demanding track and I had a lot of problems last year here. Dad (Edison Sr.) has a tough road ahead if he wants to win the championship this year” expressed Lluch Jr. Second in the starting grid will be local favorite Charlie Webster in his CJ Webster Ltd #95 Corvette with a 1:19:603 at over 178Kph. 05/18/2007 - Seven AGT Teams Tested Today in Mosport International Raceway

Bowmanville, Canada (May 18, 2007) – Seven AGT teams tested today in Mosport International Raceway for the Victoria’s Day Speedfest Test Day. The teams from the USA included the Cima Colina #29 Mustang driven by Woodson Duncan and the Hamilton Safe #8 Camaro and #9 Corvette driven by Kenny and Jordan Bupp respectively. From Puerto Rico, Lajas Racing Corvettes, the #72 Don Q with Edison Lluch Sr. and the #1 Coors Light with Edison Lluch Jr. Local favorites included Charlie Webster in his CJ Webster #95 Corvette and Tor Krueger which will day view his Pepsi Camaro #14. The official practice starts Saturday at 9:00am with a second session at 11:15am and the official qualifying, for Sunday’s race, will be at 1:45pm. AGT will have two 30 minutes races on Sunday. The first race will be at 11:25am and the second race will be at 2:45pm.

05/16/2007 - Father and son Hamilton Safe Team Gets Ready for the Speedfest

(May 16, 2007) Father and son, Kenny and Jordan Bupp of the Hamilton Safe Team are in their way to Bowmanville, Canada to participate in Mosport International Raceway Speedfest on May 19-20. Kenny will be driving the #8 Camaro which finish 3rd in the first race of Round 1 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Jordan, who is leading the Rookie Championship, will be driving his #9 Corvette.

The Hamilton Safe Team is one of the three Father and son teams that compete in AGT. Besides them, there is also the Lajas Racing Team of Edison Lluch Sr. and Jr. both of them in Corvettes. Both of these father and son teams will be battling out against each other and against the other team in Round 2 at Mosport next weekend.

05/16/2007 - The Ground Pounder Report Newsletter Second Issue

(May 14, 2007) We, at AGT are, pleased to present the second issue of our official newsletter “The Ground Pounder Report” in its electronic form, we hope you enjoy it. We will be emailing them to all the registered users of the forum. We would like thanks Edison Sr. for his inside in the article that compare the AGT’s rules with the SCCA GT1’s and their similarities that could make it fairly easy to switch back and forward being competitive on both classes. Again “Scary” Terry Giles did a superb job in putting this second issue together.

05/14/2007 - New Entrant Information Bulletin (EIB) for 2007

(May 11, 2007) In order to allow for larger grids and more participants AGTRRA has changed its car eligibility regulations. Now all GT1 cars up to 2007 will be able to compete in the AGT class. “We want all those GT1 teams out there to come and have fun with us in the series. All GT1 cars will be able to participate with minor adjustments and be very competitive.” Explained Tony Febles, American GT COO. This will start immediately, with the Victoria’s Day Speedfest at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Canada this coming weekend of May 19-20.
