Watkins Glen, NY (June 17, 2007) – Edison Lluch Jr. in the Coors Light Corvette won Race 2 of Round 3 of the AGTRRA International Series at Watkins Glen. With this victory not only did he win the North-East Championship he also becomes the point’s leader in the Inter-Americas Challenge. “It was a great weekend for us. The crew did an excellent job on the car and I am really looking forward to the Championship” expressed Edison Jr. Jon “Chevy” Leavy in the MurrayAuto.com Camaro finished an impressive second in his first AGTRRA event this year. “As I mentioned before I know we (team MurrayAuto.com) have what it takes to be a contender and we proved it here at the Glen today” said Leavy. Frank Cioppettini finished third and won the Hoerr Hard Charger Award for his great performance in the second heat. Jordan Bupp in the Hamilton Safe Corvette had mechanical problems, but his crew was able repair the car and have it race ready for the second race. “Pierre and the guys did manage to finish the car just in time for me to go out and get some points for the Inter-Americas and the Rookie of the year” said Jordan Bupp after the race. The next AGTRRA event will be at Nashville Superspeedway on July 6-7, 2007 as the cars, teams and drivers of the AGT take to the track at “Nashville Under The Lights” in Lebanon, Tennessee – the first race as the AGT moves the competition south in its “Southern Tour” in quest of crowning an AGT Southeast Divisional Champion as part of the continuing AGT Inter-America’s Challenge Grand Championship.
