06/14/2007 - AGT Expands Championship – Announces “Divisional Champions” as part of the Inter-America’s Challenge “Grand Championship”.

(June 14, 2007) - What was originally part of the strategic plan for 2008 (the initiation of Divisional Champions) will be implemented earlier than anticipated due to the ability of the new executive team to bring together such a strong venue of races in the back half of the 2007 season. “We had planned on developing a Divisional Champion type of incentive plan as part of the 2008 racing season to augment and compliment the whole Inter-America’s Challenge concept – crowning three Divisional Champions and one Grand Champion at the end of the year” stated Tony Febles. 06/12/2007 - Glenn Seward and Jon Leavy to rejoin AGTTRA for Round 3 at the Glen

(June 12, 2007) - Glen Seward in his Triller Properties, Hoerr built, Corvette Z06 will rejoin the AGTRRA Inter-Americas Challenge Round 3 at Watkins Glen, June 15-17, 2007. After a couple of years out of the series and with a new car, Seward is looking forward to the long straights and the famous “boot” at Watkins Glen International. Also rejoining the International Series at the Glen will be Jon Leavy in his www.MurrayAuto.com Camaro. Leavy competed sporadically in the AGTRRA series in 2004, when he won at Homestead and in 2005. Leavy, a Florida native has been working on his Camaro for weeks with his trusty crew George Corso, Buddy Bair and Mike Matis to get it ready to be a top contender for the rest of the season. “We are fired up with this International Series and we want to be a part of it. I know that we can win races and have a shot at the championship” commented Leavy.

06/09/2007 - Luna Sueño to Debut their New Corvette at the Glen

(June 8, 2007) – Team Luna Sueño will debut their Z06 Corvette at Watkins Glen International for Round 3 for the AGTRRA Inter-Americas Challenge in June 15-17. “We used the original chassis of last year’s car, but it has been redone and updated completely to a Z06 Corvette” stated the car owner, Jerry Lustig. Chuck Damanski, Luna Sueño’s Crew Chief is working with his team around the clock to ensure that the car performs as it is expected and be a top contender at the Glen and the rest of the Inter-Americas Challenge Series. “We wanted to start the AGTRRA International Series form Round 1, but we got behind in the new project (Corvette). We did not take delivery of the car until the week of Round 2 at Mosport, since then, we have worked on the car long days and nights to get the car ready for Watkins Glen.” Said Damanski.
