07/27/2007 - Round Two of the AGT Southern Tour Promises Hot Racing Action.

The ground pounding V8 powered, tube chassis, composite bodied American sports cars of the American GT Professional Road Racing Association take to the world famous 3.7 mile, 17 turn concrete and asphalt “long course” permanent road circuit of Sebring International Raceway in “The Shoot-Out At Sebring” on August 11 – 12, 2007 in Sebring Florida as Round Two of the Southern Tour and Round Five of the Inter-America’s Grand Championship Points Series. These fire-breathing normally aspirated engines put out upwards of 800 horsepower and the cars are capable of reaching speeds in excess of 200 mph as top AGT series drivers from across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic battle it out wheel to wheel – door to door in quest of taking the checkered flag. 07/15/2007 - Beebe Racing and Tony Ave Head to Sebring on Aug 11-12 for AGT Debut.

Tony Ave looks to add to his team’s tally of track records and race victories for GT-1/ AGT based machines at the next round of AGT competition in Sebring FL during the second week in August. Driving the Tony Ave Racing built and prepared C6 Corvette bodied TAR-RJ/001 chassis owned by Larry and Debbie Beebe, Ave has been unbeaten since partnering with Pro-Motor Engines of Mooresville, NC. “Pro-Motor supplied my Nextel Cup and ARCA engines in the past, so I knew what they are capable of,” says the former World Pro-Sprint Snowmobile champion. “We are committed to being involved as a chassis manufacturer and race team utilizing these types of race cars, so I wanted to make sure we gave ourselves the best opportunity to win.” Continue »

07/12/2007 - The AGT “Southern Tour” Continues – Sebring & Roebling Road Test Days Announced.

(July 12, 2007) - The AGT ‘Southern Tour” continues as the series heads further south with a trip down to Florida for “The Shoot-Out At Sebring” on August 11-12 at the infamous Sebring International Raceway to be run on the fast and furious 12 Hour Long Course. The Long Course is 3.7 miles with 17 turns. The track surface has 2.4 miles of asphalt and 1.2 miles of concrete.
The Sebring weekend will kick off with an Open Test Day on Friday, August 10, 2007 which is hosted by the track. Registration for the test day is next door to the track entrance in the lobby of the Chateau Elan Hotel. Registration for the test day will be open on Thursday 8/9 from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Friday 8/10 from 6:30 am until 3 pm – cost for the test day is $225.00 per car / driver and you must be a registered participant for the race weekend in order to test. 07/09/2007 - Edison Lluch Jr. Continues His “Choke Hold” On The Points Lead – Wins Both Races at Nashville.

Lebanon, TN (July 8, 2007) – Edison Lluch Jr in the Coors Light Corvette won both races of Round Four of the American GT Inter-Americas Challenge at Nashville Superspeedway in the AGT’s first ever night race – “Nashville Under The Lights”. Edison Jr was followed in the first race by his father Edison Lluch Sr. –who had won the pole and held the fastest lap time for the whole weekend with his spectacular qualifying effort. 07/06/2007 - LLuch Sr Gets the Pole With The Don Q Corvette

Lebanon, TN (July 6, 2007) – Edison Sr. got the pole by 0.125sec over Edison Jr for Round 4 of the American GT Road Racing Association event, Nashville Under the Lights. The two 30min race event will be held tomorrow night at 6:40pm and at 9:25pm, respectively, under the Superspeedway lights. Third on the starting grid will be Mark Shaffer, who is debuting his new Great Car & Trucks/Foddrill Fabrication Ford Mustang #21, fourth was Frank Ciopettinni in the Victoria Motorsports Camaro #6 and Woodson Duncan came in fifth.
