08/20/2007 - AGTRRA Round 6 “The Rumble At The Road”

Following “The Shoot-Out”, get prepared for that “Georgia On My Mind” feeling as you get ready to rumble at “The Rumble At The Road” on September 8-9 on one of the most historic tracks in the Southeast – Roebling Road Raceway outside of Savannah Georgia located in Bloomingdale opened in 1959. Today, Roebling Road is known as one of the fastest and most challenging tracks in the United States, comprised of 9 challenging and distinctive turns spread out over the 2.02 mile asphalt racing circuit. Situated on about a hundred acres, the track facilities are well kept and over night camping is allowed in the paddock area of the track with a limited number of electrical hook-ups available, there is a small fee for the weekend electrical hook-up. There are clean restrooms and showers as well as a great concession stand that serves up some pretty tasty food and drink. Continue »

Sebring, Fla (August 12, 2007) – It was HOT – HOT HOT! Just like that “one hit wonder” song by Arrow (later recorded by The Cure) used in everything from car commercials to fast food spots….it was HOT HOT HOT….the weather was hot and the on track competition was even hotter at the Shoot-Out at Sebring as two time defending AGT series champion Edison Lluch Sr of Puerto Rico in his Don Q Rum Corvette regained the AGT Inter-America’s Challenge Championship points lead with his second heat win on Sunday at Sebring International Raceway under the hot Florida sun. 08/11/2007 - Jordan Bupp Wins Race 1 at Sebring

Sebring, Fla (August 11, 2007) – AGT Rookie Jordan Bupp won the first of two scheduled races of the AGTRRA Inter-Americas Challenge Round 5 at Sebring International Raceway. Jordan Bupp, who is leading the Rookie of the year Championship, had the fastest race lap, let the most laps and is the first rookie ever to win an American GT race. “I was very excited about this event from day one, since I know the track and the car was set up perfectly by Pierre and the crew.” said Jordan Bupp when ask about his win. “We also consider Sebring our home track, our shop is just a couple of hour from here and I have driven this course many times.” Jordan added. 08/09/2007 - Luis Tomas Mendez Will Drive La Caya Jaguar XK8 at Sebring AGTRRA Round 5

(August 8, 2007) - Luis Tomás Méndez from Santiago, Dominican Republic, will rejoin the AGTRRA Inter-Americas Championship at Sebring International Raceway for Round 5. Luis Tomás will debut the new color of his Huffaker XK8 Jaguar, sponsored by La Caya, one of Dominican Republic’s finest cigars. Luis Tomás Méndez had his first AGT outing in Round 1 at Ponce, Puerto Rico, with a very strong and respectable second place finishing inches from Edison Lluch Sr., who won the event. Continue »

08/01/2007 - The Ground Pounder Report Issue 5

(July 31, 2007) - AGTRRA presented the fourth issue of “The Ground Pounder Report” the official newsletter of the International Series. We will be emailing them to all the registered users of the forum. We would like to thank again “Scary” Terry Giles for another exciting issue with a lot of nutritional information. If you want to contribute with a topic or an article for the Ground Pounder, please feel free to contact us with your suggestions. We have a new contributor to the newsletter, Todd Benne a Ground Pounding veteran, has written what we hope will be the first of many articles. You might remember Todd from his T/A days with the EATON team #64 driven by Johnny Miller or with Paul Fix Racing. Welcome aboard Todd and thanks for the help.
