ThompsonCigars.com Jag XK8 Looking Forward to Round 6 at Roebling
(September 5, 2007) – The www.ThompsonCigars.com Jag XK8 driven by Luis Tomás Méndez from Santiago, Dominican Republic, will be present at AGTRRA Round 6 of the Inter-Americas Challenge at Roebling Road Raceway on Sept 8-9, 2007.
This is the first time a Cigar company sponsors an AGT team. Thompson Cigar was founded in Key West, Florida, in 1915 and is the oldest mail order cigar company in the country. In fact, Thompson still holds Postal Permit #1 for Tampa. Thompson Cigar has always been devoted to delivering a wide selection of products covering all price ranges and tastes.
Méndez had his first AGT outing in Round 1 at Ponce, Puerto Rico, with a very strong and respectable second place finishing inches from Edison Lluch Sr., who won the event. He also demonstrated that he is a serious contender at Sebring where he finished second behind Edison Sr. after having difficulties in race one.
www.ThompsonCigars.com 07 Jaguar XK8 will compete in the remainder of the 2007 Inter-Americas Champion and it is looking forward to do a complete 2008 season. “I am really excited about the www.ThompsonCigars.com sponsorship and we are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship, since I can still win the Caribbean Championship and have top honors in both the South East and the Inter-Americas Challenge,” expressed Méndez.
