Panama City, Panama (October 23, 2007) - The Federación Interamericana de Periodistas del Automóvil (FIPA) Interamerican Federation of Automotive Newspersons announced today that Dario Franchitti y Edison Lluch tied for Interamerican Driver of the year. Even thou Franchitti is Scotsman was considered for the award since he won the prestigious Indy 500 and the IRL championship one of the top event and series in the Americas. This special invitation to Western Bank customers only will be mailed with the customer’s monthly statement and will offer them a 50% discount of the entrance ticket at the door. Western Bank has sponsored the Ponce Grand Prix and the Ponce International Speedway Park since its beginnings.
